Vertical

Vertical blinds are made from vertical slats of width 89mm or 127mm, or in sliding panel slats of 300mm, 450mm or 600mm. The slats can stack to the left, right, middle or at both sides.

The slat can be made of many materials such as fabric, wood, wood-effect aluminium, toughened fabric with pvc backing, aluminium, blackout, fire-retardant, anti-glare, heat-reflection, machine washable, wipe-clean, moisture-resistant, anti-bacterial, flame retardant, blackout, pvc, transparent, patterned, alternating, perforated, polyester, linen and cotton.

A weighted option with pocket weights is a popular option to prevent chains along the bottom becoming tangled.

An alternative to cord operation is wand control. This wand tilts and traverses slats and remains unobtrusive when not in use. Vertical blinds are also suitable to be motorized with remote control.
